Where to Find Bookkeeping Experience
Message: I am writing to you because I am a BIA student and am about to complete my last assessment for the Cert 1V. I am wondering if there is any chance you may have some data entry or similar I could do for you, to gain experience. I am applying for work but the experience lets me down each time. Any advise or feedback you could offer would be appreciated.

Gaining relevant bookkeeping experience can be a challenge
We suggest that rather than applying for bookkeeping positions, you apply for positions that have admin/bookkeeping duties and see if you can get some experience assisting the current bookkeeper with their work
Freelance bookkeepers generally work on their own, and are not in a position to be training other bookkeepers on their clients’ time
